Mike and I went to Australia for the Digital Marketer Conference where Mike spoke to 400 or so marketers and business owners about YouTube growth. The interesting part was, that we weren't the only ones talking about how important YouTube is for businesses today.

In last week's newsletter I wrote about the 6 types of videos business owners should make to convert viewers to sales.

Today I will provide you with actual examples of people making 6-figures through YouTube videos without having to go viral.

Part of what I do daily is consume a lot of content and here are some of my favorites:

Viral doesn't make you money

Two of the speakers at the event we attended used YouTube as a tool to generate a large portion of their income, we are talking about 6-7-figure agency owners.

Here is the kicker: They are only getting a few hundred views on their videos.

You DON'T need to go viral to generate traffic to your offers, heck, your YouTube content doesn't need to sell directly at all. It's great at building the relationship and nurturing your already existing audience that hasn't decided to buy yet.

So let's dive into some examples of how they do it.

  1. Super consistent uploads
  2. In-depth tutorials - massive value
  3. All this value makes people aware of how much work it is, and instead of viewers learning it themselves, they hire the agency.
  4. The topic is very boring, most people teaching this topic create dry and very technical content. GMA focuses on engaging content so people get through the videos.
  5. The videos are structured great with the intro delivering on the promise of the packaging (which is clear, and very effective)

Salesman.com - Runs a 7-figure community/mastermind

Subscribers: 71.4K
Most watched video: 851k
Average views: 700
Revenue made from YT: Main source of income
Total videos: 1200+

Will is one of our mastermind clients and YT is a massive part of his sales funnel.
He has been on it for over 9 years and created 1200+ videos, this shows that compounding on the platform is so effective.
